Does anyone know the exact dimension of the bearing raceway on a new axle? My guess is that it should be somewhere in the range of 1.573 – 1.574 inches (39.96mm-39.98mm).

If not, just how loose or snug should a new bearing (not in carrier) fit on the axle?
