How much are 250R's goin for? And where can i get one? Im 13, 5'2, 115 pounds. Think i can handle it?

 

I got my 250r stock for $3000. And I dont think you would be able to handle one. Might want to look for a 300ex or blaster.

 

I got my 1986 250r for 3200 stck excellent condition. I don't know if you would be able to handle it or not. I was 14 when i got my R i had a highly modifield blaster before that. Find one in the paper and go test ide it to see if it is to fast for you.

 

i got my 86 compleaty stock excellent condition for 3000, still has parking brake, headlight&cover, taillight and original tools and tool box. came w/ stock pipe and silencer...i got a DEAL!

i looker REALLY hard for about 6 months...you are better off finding one near you rather than e-bay or some clissified add that is half way across the country...don't get me wrong, always check e-bay and net classifieds, but look for one close to home.

Can you handel it? based on the information given...!!!NO!!!...with emphasis on the N! and the O!. the trx is a mean bike!!! i have ridden quads and raced them for about 10 years...and i'm not that small of a guy....6'1" about 150...and the R took some time to get used to, the bike would totally eat you up! not to insult you in by any means.

if i were you i'd go with a more user friendly machine like the 300Ex or possibly the 400Ex, all the while keeping the hunt for an R on the back burner.

I've got a real clean '86 250r that I'm selling for $3400, which I think is a fair deal considering the condition of the quad. It's almost all original including the wheels, tires, chain, sprockets, plastic, toolbox, lights, etc. You'll pay a little more for the cleaner one's, but it's worth the extra cost.

 

I paid $3000 for my 86 R. It came w/ a lone star axle, renthals and FMF pipe/silencer. It's in greta shape in and out. I thought it was kind of a steal. I see them go from 4000-6500. But these, I've seen, are more hopped up.

As far as your ability, If you feel comfy (or better yet bored) on a 4-stroke 250-400 or a blaster, you shoould be able to handle it. But it'll surprise a t first til you get used to it. If you're a good rider, you shouldn't have a any real problems. Good Luck!

 

At 13, you better not start with an R, just too much quad. Start with a Blaster or 300EX first, then move up to the R.

 

Can you handle an R? Why not? My wife is small (5'2", weighs less than 110lbs) and goes like the wind!
The question you should ask is "Do you really want one?"
If the answer is "Yes" then go get one.
You can learn to ride it, just don't get crazy and wear all the proper equipment.
How much do they cost? More like, how much do you have?

 

Yes but your wife is not 13, there is a maturity issue here one needs to consider.

 

I paid $3000 for mine then decided to rip it apart and do a resto on it. I now have about $6500 into the whole thing, but it is better than new with alot of goodies added to it
