Any of you guys that have Renthal Handlebars on your 300EX tell what bend you have, how you relocated your ignition and whatever style of bend you have how does it work. So what would be the best bend for me I'm 5'10'' 150lbs. I was also thinking of using the 1987 250X handlebar cover for the ignition relocation. Tell me what you think.

I had renthals on my 300ex. You have to remove that plastic piece that covers the stock handlebars. Then buy that plastic piece off an 87 250x. It works pretty good. I have no idea what bend I had though on the renthals.

 

I had a set before, I like the CR-Hi bend. The stock bars came back too far and were too high for my liking.

 

What about the Race bend handlebars. Good fit or not.

I duno, never tried them.

 

i had renthals on my 300ex. i used a wood drill bit and drilled a hole juss big enough for the ignition to fit in, i drilled it on the right hand side, right under the handlebars, in the top piece of plastic that juss covers the top of the gas tank and around the handlebars. i forget what bend i had tho, and i never used the race bends.

 

I got the race bend and it works out great. I just zip tied my key swith at first under the plastic out of view.
