Roll Design frame
#1
I think I have decided to get a complete Roll Design frame.
But I have a few question for the people who have a Roll Design frame or parts, or know something about them, before I make up my mind and buy one:
Is the seat height lower than stock?
Were there any problem fitting any of you other parts to the Roll Design frame (Engine, Plastic, Accessories, Etc.)?
What Roll Design parts did you get, are you happy with your purchase?
What A-arm did you get or recomend (brand and size)?
What shocks did you get or recomend (brand and adjustability)?
How much wheel travel did/would that give you?
Is there anything else I should know about Roll Design frames/parts?
Thank for all your help.
Chris

A good friend of mine ordered a complete Roll chassis (set up for XC) back in August, and still hasn't recieved it, so be prepared to wait. Duncan says they shipped it last week, so we should see it within a few days.
The only experience I have with Roll is with one of thier Banshee front end kits. It fit perfectly and looked great once we got all of the parts. They forgot to ship a few spacers for the top arms, and they also put the "Roll Design" decal on the wrong side of the left a-arm. They fixed these problems quickly though. The parts look great and work even better.
The Roll chassis kit comes with Roll a-arms and Axis shocks. You could run other shocks, but you must use the Roll arms because of the way the front end geometry is set up. Wheel travel is quoted in the Duncan catalog, but I don't have it with me right now.
Hopefully I'll know more in the next week.
