The 300EX is a great machine. Its sporty and reliable. It really a excels in tight woods and dirt trails. If your over 6 foot tall it may feel cramped but if not it should fit fine. The 300EX can reach speeds up to 60mph. Its headlight is great for night time riding. It handels great but may be tippy in some situations. It beats most competitors weather its the 300's handeling, speed or fun factor. It has some con's to it though like its metal gas tank and complicating reverse procedure. The best mods for it would be air box mods,a new air filter and an aftermarket pipe. With those mods it will bring out the true power in the 300.The suspension is good, but doing large jumps will be difficult. In the dunes the 300EX may feel a little weak because its not a 2 stroke. The conclusion on it is its virtually maintance free, extremely fun and an overall great atv.
Hope this helped if you want more info e-mail me at hondaguy300ex@aol.com
