If it is in good shape then it is definitely worth $1500. They don't really come any cheaper than that. I bought a mint 86 for $1800 and it was the best deal I ever got on an R(I have had 4). Make sure you really check it over to see if it needs anything. Check the frame near the swingarm pivot, subframe, and steering stem to see if it is cracked. Also check to see if the rear shock reservoir adjuster **** is in good shape. Grab the tops of the front wheels and if there is a lot of play when you pull them sideways(if it feels loose) then it needs bearings. If you can, set it on some flat smooth ground and push it. If it rolls well then the bearings are still pretty good. Basically, just check the thing over really well that way you could probably get it cheaper if you find some flaws.
