PA. only issues titles to quads that are registered. Titles come from the states, not the manufactures. Quads do not have to registered if used exclusivly on owners property. So it is up to the buyer to get the registered or not. Thats why there are so many in PA without a title.

You would get insurance for a quad to protect you from theft, wrecks, falling off trailers while being transported, people getting injured while riding on or with you on your quad. And other instences i can't think of right now.

Ok titles come from the state but when u buy it from the dealer where is the bill of sale from the dealer or the bill or origion. If u buy a bike that bike is still in someone elses name and u need that person to have a bill of sale to you with proper notory then u can get the bike in your name. Why buy a bike in someones elses name they still have ownership even though u bought the bike.
I have insurance for theft collision etc.. i have an 87 lt500 fully insured like they say u never know better to be insured than to loose an investment

Despite what some dealers lead Texans to believe, it is not necessary to register an ATV with the DMV in our state. However, you will need one if you want to ride legally on public land. You must have a title in order to purchase an annual public use permit/sticker.

Texans can also take advantage of a tax break when purchasing a new ATV. Buyers who intend to use their ATV on a farm or ranch are not required to pay state or local sales tax.
