Relocation of ignition on a 300EX
#1
I went to a local dealer an I saw a 300ex with a Ceet graphics kit. They also had Renthal handle bars on it. They moved the ignition on to the side kinda like the Mojave. What is involved in doing this. What are the advantages besides the ability to remove the stupid handle bar cover and get some real handle bars? Are there any disadvantages?

On my 300 its on the side. YES there is a disadvantage it falls out very easy the plastic seems like it stretches a little or something. If it was me I would not do it but if u have to go ahead and try it. Well i hoped my information was helpful.

Hey original y2k thanks for your reply on my title topic.I am about to change the ignition switch and handle bars on my 300 too.I don't like it in the side of the plastic so I am going to use a swich housing off an old 250R or a 250x and a set of oneal bars with the cross bar pad.The switch housing will go right on.GOOD LUCK and Thanks again!!

It moves the switch right below where the cross bar pad would be on your aftermarket bars.I had one on my old 250 x and it seemed to work out good. You can still run the pad on the cross bar too.I'm not sure how much a new one is a friend said he thought around 20.00 but I'm not sure.
