Hour Meter

I've never really paid any attention to this on the Honda's but I do know that it does on the Kawasaki 650 Prairie. This has been a big issue with these owners because guys who use them for other things, like spotlighting for instance, have already had the Service Belt light come on because the computer thinks it has X ammount of hours on it when it doesn't.
If you own this machine, you should be able to tell by simply going out there and turning the key on. Write down the time. Turn the key off. Turn it back on and let it sit for 5 minutes and then crank the machine. What time does it say??
