what kind of truck is he pulling it with?..., and i do believe the 30 footer is a 5th-wheel...correct me if im wrong....we want to still have access to the bed of the pickup....i think the parents want to go w/ the fs2200 and if they wont fit, just put the 350 4x4 in the bed of the pickup

PismoGuy, you need to notice what 3TV also has in his arsonal, a diesel truck to pull them with. They are very heavy. You will need a big block at a minimum and a diesel preferably to pull one of those. A friend has a 22' weekend warrior and a 1/2 ton chev with a 350 and has to have a friend tow the trailer because he does not have enough truck. Toy haulers are alot heavier than a regular travel trailer the same size.

Have fun

If you are planning on getting anything bigger than an 18' footer you are probably going to need at leat a 3/4 ton truck. I just sold my 2000 Tundra because my 21' was too much for that truck. My new 2002 F250 with the V10 pulls it like a dream. Mine weighs in at around 7500lbs. fully loaded with bikes and water. The trailer makes Pismo trips much more comfortable when the wind picks up. Good luck!

along w/ the trailer, there will be a 2002 duramax diesel, they (parents) dont know if theyre getting a 3/4 ton or 1 ton, its going to be a diesel and its going to be a chevy.

They got the job of finding the right truck, and i got the job of finding the right trailer

whatever trailer we get,....we wont have a problem pulling it

now....for the prices....does anyone know any of the prices for the FS and the FB trailers

thanks

Hey Pismoguy.
I might reconsider on the truck. (respectfully)
The Duramax Diesel engine has not exactly been proven reliable yet,
and along with that, the Allison tranny HAS proven explosive.

Tell your parents that they should consider the Cummins, or the Power stroke.
They are MUCH better than the current Duramax. (Ford or Dodge)

I've seen small new striped down models for under 10k. The big fancy ones can go several times that much.
