400EX TOP SPEED?

That's funny BushHog, "where no man has gone before he can go with a polaris" I'd have to tell you that this is a false statement. Man has gone to a junkyard before and that is where all Polaris's belong.

Well, ill let you guys know. I just put a speedometer on my 400 (before you ask...its the Bell one made for mountain bikes and yes it works perfectly...just make sure you calibrate it so you get an accurate reading. The how-to on how to mount it up is in the back of one of the mags...basicly you just mount the magnet on the brake rotor inside one of the clots, and then drill and tap a hold on the arm that holds the caliber to hold the pickup. Works perfectly!

have any of you fellow members ever used a gps ( global positioning system ) it works with 3 satelities in space and calibrates you speed , it is registered in digital. this device is very accurate, my ex registered 71 mph on it, that is not stock though, i am not saying that is fast or anything but when i see all of these mph numbers in here i wonder about how you all get them.

I have to agree 65-70 is about right but what I want to know is how did the magazines say it will beat a stock banshee which does about 75 mph. With a simple gear change you should be able to get some more top end out of it (10mph) if you don't mind losing a little down low. By the way everybody who thinks it is ridiculous to even care how fast your ATV can go has obviously not done any riding on frozen lakes, approaching 100mph on a totally worked and geared ATC250r is a hell of a rush. This year the 100mph mark will be shattered.

I used to own a 94'Honda XR600R bike, it broke 102MPH out of the box! (dirtbike mag also stated that it did)Problem was holdin the GPS with one hand was kinda scarey
I have a eagle explorer 12 channel GPS and it is 100% accurate in speed,(the only thing it is accurate in) as long as you dont go into trees or behind a hill
