17 to 18 feet long???? Were not talking about a bus!! Lets say we gotta place where there are pot holes and small tree limbs everywhere.
Try to drive over em with a quad and weeeee over the bars. Hum-v Bump don't even get budged.

ok my dodge ram quad cab is 16 feet long and a hummer is longer . as for pot holes and small tree branches i could get over them on a LT80 but if a person was a bad rider i could see them getting stuck where a person in a hummer would be able to drive over them but in the woods a quad being smaller and more compact would far out do a hummer . reverting back to the question at hand. Guys this may be a dumb post but I was just thinking.......What can get through more places?the hum-vee or the atv?

it's prolly bout equal actually, the humvee could do deep water crossings and such that the atv couldnt even think about, but try to ge the humvee throuhg an extremely thick forrest with a max of 4-6 feet between each tree, BIG BIG oak trees at that. the atv will be out done in more open areas,, but get in the tight stuff, and the atv would run off and hide from it's goliath competitor... Oh and Canadianmudrunner - that's not a dumb question. It just depends on where you're riding. It's more like a question that is to broad.

Yep I want hummer to.But affording one is the thing. If it cant squeeze its @** through the tall large trees it will probably just run them down(saw it done before). And if your ever going through a mine field(no seriously) the thing can will keep the passengers alive but it will be totalled.Oh yeah did I mention you can buy models that have anti-puncture steel tire that deflates and inflates at hte push of a button. Now I would like to see an atv do that!!
