I was reading the web site and looked at 3 pipes: TRX5, TRX6 and TRX5 centermount. My brother has the TRX and it works great so I'm leaning toward that one. Anyone have direct experience with the TRX6 (torque pipe)? Is it as good as advertised or not worth the hype. I mainly trail ride so I like lowend and midrange. Top end loss really noticebale over the TRX5? And the centermount? Looks like a pain in the a$$ with all the extra parts it needs but says in makes better power than the plain TRX5. Anyone used one for comment? Thanks for your help...

I've got the 5 pipe with the ESR silencer, the fit/finish on the ESR stuff is second to none and it rips!! I'm going to try a 6 pipe and see if there is much difference between the 2.

I have a trx-6 pipe. Fantastic fit and finish. Good low end, insane mid range, ok Top end (2 mph better than a stock pipe as per my GPS testing)

To give you an idea, I an running 18-11-10 fast trekkers in the rear on my 86 trx, bored .30 over, running 15/39 gearing, 3rd gear take-offs/burn-outs on dirt are common. I could lug around in 1-3 gear just off idle, then punch it and it's on the pipe with no clutch. The only thing is that compared to my old fmf fatty pipe it flattens out on the top quicker. But then again this is a torque pipe. I hope this helps.

I've ridden a TRX6 on a basically stock motor. It felt REALLY good. Midrange was crazy, and topend wasnt that impressive. The 6 does what it's advertised to do. MX. MP Racing has dyno charts of many of the top pipes, and the TRX5 and FMF Fatty have the same HP on a a stock motor. Anyone that knows anything about motors knows that a mild port job can make a BIG difference in your pipe's performance. The FMF gets outclassed in everyway by the TRX5 on a better engine.
