I was wondering what you guys thought about the IMS tank. I ride desert, fast, rough, and 100+ miles every desert ride i go to. Thanks for any help.

I've been thinking about buying one of those tanks too. Hopefully someone will have had some experience with one on here. Try posting the question on exriders.com, lots of 400ex riders on there.

 

I have this tank. You can ride forever!! When full, it will make the bike a bit front heavy though, so keep that in mind. If I am going to be doing lots of jumping, I do it on a tank that is at least half empty.

You will want to trim the bike plastic on the inside around where it butts up against tank at the top. There is a little lip on it, and just trim that off and the tank will fit way better (it's hard to explain, but you will see what I mean when you install it). Also, clean the tank VERY well before installing! Mine came with tons of little plastic pieces inside. This is a great mod! Don't hit the trail without it!!
