400ex vs 92yz125

stock vs stock, drag.
which wins? I dont like the idea of 125's even 80s beating 300ex's and 400ex's, hell, an EIGHTY!!!!!! an 80 can beat a 300ex, it should be the other way around, thats just sad. i dont like that a 125 can probobly beat a 400ex in a drag, so how do you get the power of a 250, or a 125 2-stroke in a 400ex? get a 250r?

Aren't you the same guy that called someone stupid for not knowing if a certain pipe will fit a different year model bike?
Yes, a CR/YZ/KX/RM 80 will out run a 300ex. Hell, a 60 will run right even with a 300ex untill you get to the top end. HELL YES a 125 will burn a 400ex. Engine size isn't everything. Power to weight ratio is such a HUGE part in any kind of racing. Thats why a C-dale will out run a DS650. The DS puts out lots more power but the weight holds it back. Think about it... a 125 2-stroke that weighs less than 200 lbs. vs. a 400 DETUNED 4-stroke that weighs 375 lbs. No competition.

There are 3 kids with 125's that ride with us. They are all at least 50 lbs. lighter than me. They will beat me off the line EVERY TIME, but once were off the line, I can hang with them all day. The surface you are on makes a big difference too. In the sand, they just wallow around, while I float by on the top.

400ex fork seals, Banshee powerbands, DS650 reeds.... I've learned a LOT about ATVS here lately.

Some people just don't know a lot about quads or bikes... I just thought it was funny because he called someone stupid for askin a perfectly legit question.
Copguy - do you even know what fork seals are? and yes, the CR or any 125 has better suspension than a 400ex (or most quads as a matter of fact). They usually average 11 inches of travel +/- a little. The fact that their tires are inline helps a lot to. When you see a bike case a small double, most of the time it doesn't even phase(sp?) them because of the long travel and inlined tires hitting the face of the jump... but on quads, we have less travel and the tires being side to side will not only cause that sudden hard, crotch slaming on the gas tank, feeling, but many times a sudden jerk to the side. Thats a big part of what makes riding quads so much harder on the track because you have to know how both sides are going to react with each other.
That last part was a little off subject but it kinda worked itself in there nicely .

Fork seals keep the oil in the shox
The only reason I would rather have a quad is because I cant ride my dirtbike in the snow. On a quad, you dont have to keep your balance, which im sorta tired of doing, quads are more fun. i want a 400ex, with tripple rate shox, k&n, pipe, ac pro pegs and ac bumper, xr cam, kickstarter(available?), 465cc bore, turbo charger with inter cooler($10, 000), renthal bars, blue maier plastic, shock covers, holeshots on 4, baja design lights, seat cover, graphics kit, nos. Now THATS a wicked 400ex.
