Is there a company that sells ski kits for the 400ex? How much? Website? My friend wants skies on his 400ex.

 

Never seen them anywhere but I have a set of skis and meant to do it over last winter. The only thing is I didn't want to leave the tires on then put the skis underneath but if I made a plate to bolt to the spindle I didn't have any way of keeping it from flipping under in mid air. That is about the time I moved on to the next project. Correction I did see them in cabelas. They had a cradle on top of the skis for the tires to set in. sno traxx i don't know if they have a kit for the 400s yet tho.

 

to keep them from flipping under just put some weight to the back so they fall back when in the air

 

i was also thinking about trying that by putting a set of paddles on the back with ordering some skis and rigging up my own fit to the front. look at the may 2002 issue of dirt wheels and they show a pretty cool ds650 that has that. or if you want to go crazy their is a company that makes a set of skis and on the back you have snowmobile type drive on each wheel their website is www.snowtraxx or you can call 66-391-5600 or 801-546-8013( this is from an old issue of dirt wheels so i dont know if this site or number will work due to the buisness might of moved or died) hope it works. reply with what you go with i to am intrested in this
