To much for 300ex?

My buddy is trying to sell his 300ex for $3,700 its a 98 in excellent condition and it has nerfs, dg header and silencer and aftermarket bars and maxxis tires on the rear. Its very clean to, never beat or anything, is this a fair price I think so.

goto www.kbb.com and get the blue book value then negotiate with him ... sounds high in my opinion. See what he'd ge if he traded it in and offer a little more.

Something to keep in mind that I've noticed is that the selling markets seem to be different depending upon region for some reason or another. Maybe its availability issues. Does the Kelly Blue Book ask per region or is it generic?

HH,
You are right, another way to test the field is go to www.traderonline.com and do a search on all 300ex's for sale across the country. You'll get a better idea of the recycle market that way. To me it looks like they're going anywhere from 3200 to 4200.
