When trail riding with friends in different areas, why is it that i see more old Honda's still running than any other brand ? I hardly ever see a Polaris that is more than five or six years old.I see old Honda's from 80's that look ugly but still run fine.I think that the old Polaris machines end up in the junk yard because they fell apart.

You know why cause polaris are junk they didnt sell maney and the ones they did sell fell apart in the first 6 mounths that they were driven polaris does not know how to build bikes they suck.Their snowmobiles arent to bad but their atvs are the king of junk and only wimps ride polaris cause their to wimpy to get a mans bike and shift i can under stand if their parilized and are forced to ride junk but thats another story.Hondas are the best on earth and are great their trx 125 wasnt very good i used to own one and it broke like polaris but i dont mind the scrambler 500 though.Theres your answer.

TOOOO Funny! The reason is back in the day the only atv almost around or worth buying was a Honda everybody knows that! Now motorcycles are a different story there were many excellent choices. Today EVERY atv maker is selling great quads, so there is more of a choice. I know around my area all you see is Polaris and a few old hondas, you know the funny thing is in five years instead of seeing alot of hondas all you will see is Polaris, they are too easy for first time riders to learn on, so they are all buying Polaris!

Bzizzi, what a stupid question you ask.Hows this for an answer? Is it possible that you live and ride in such a Poverty stricken area that nobody around can AFFORD a new quad?In my neck of the woods,Polaris out numbers every other make quad by at least 2-1.Does that mean that all other make quads are at the junk yard because they fell apart?Sorry about the sarcasim, but your post really got to me. The man has a good point. You see more old Honda's around simply because they sold more than anyone else and even more importantly, they lasted longer than the rest. Not saying that other bikes didn't hold up, just not as good a percentage of them did. Excellent point.

200xtra,I'll bet you wished these forums had age groups, like say from 10-14yr old sections. You'd be right at home.

200xtra,
You are an idiot. I drive grain trucks, tractors etc with more speeds than you are old. I bought a Polaris because I wanted one, not because I couldn't shift. But what would you know about shifting, like Bill said you are probably not 16 anyway...

I beleive that just about all of the quads are all in the same ballpark when it comes to durability. Any quad will be a piece of crap when you don't take good care of it. I've seen kids with 99's and dont even start. I have an 88 250R and a 89 blaster People think they are 2000's because i maintain them. I wash them every once in a while and when I brake something I replace it.
