Why would you want a snowplow on a 2x4?

Maybe because he doesn't have a 4wd. Equipped with tire chains the recon is equal to the task.

Exactly, thanks Kevin. In my garage now are a:
'99 400EX
'99 Recon
'96 300EX
'98 Bagder
......which one would you choose to plow a little snow? I am not buying another 4-wheeler and have no good use here for a 4 wheel drive......I just want to make more use of what I have.

qwiktim,
You might log onto www.cyclecountry.com & see if they even make a plow for the Recon. If they don't, itis unlikely that any one else does either.
BTW, the Recon is a 4 by 2. a 2x4 is a piece of lumber,

That's <BLINK>TOO FUNNY!</BLINK>......I was thinking the same thing but didn't want to say it. I guess if you want to be a smart a** and put someone down you should at least not make a fool of yourself in the process....and I have seen a few Recon's advertised for sale with snow plows so someone out there makes one, I just have to find it. Thanks!

Quiktim, sorry, I didn't know what machines you owned. I totally agree with you and your decision. I found out that Cycle Country does make a plow for your Recon. They list the only year for the Recon '97, but they didn't change them so I would imagine it would fit on yours. Check them out at (www.cyclecountry.com). You have a pretty nice lineup of ATV's there. Do you like all of them? Had any problems with any of them?

Thanks, I just got the 400EX so I haven't had a chance to break it yet. The Recon, the 300EX, and the Badger have been great. The '98 Badger was bought new and is used for a "pit-bike" at the track when I take my car, the '99 Recon I just bought new this morning for my wife to ride, and the '96 300EX has been my ride for a while now but will soon go up for sale as it is not needed. It has been absolutely great, nothing has ever broken of given me any problems. It is all stock except for the rear tires but I still have the originals that are almost like new. If anyone around Ohio wants a really nice and clean 300EX e-mail me, it even still has shiny plastic. :-)

I have a 98 recon with a cycle country plow and T1500 super winch. In minnesota i use the recon to plow snow every day, it has plenty of power to move heavy, wet snow. I dont use chains either, and it still can move a lot of snow.
