I recieved the new Dirtwheels the other day. It has an atricle on the 2003 Hondas. The said about Honda making a bigger and better sportrax. They said that honda has a quad in the works using the CRF450 motor. They said it would be a late 03' or and a early 04'. I personally can not wait. It will either be a detuned 450 motor or something like derived from the crf motor or they could make a new TRX450R race inspired type of quad using the crf450r motor just changed a few things for a quad. The could carry the "R" which has not been produced sine 1989.

 

is this bull crap or are you telling the truth??? all's i got to say is if it's the exact motor as the crf450, it will eat raptors, Z-400, predators for lunch. that motor is potent

 

Yeh, I think this is all true, my local honda dealership the biggest in Australia told me just recently(like last week) that honda has been testing a aluminium framed sportrax with the CRF450 engine in it, he said that they have been testing it against the cannondale and said that the cannondale was a little faster but the Honda handled a lot better stock for stock.This is the owner of the dealership that told me this and this guy is allways flying to Honda in Japan. When he first told me i said stop crapping on to me and he was very offended by my comments, he then said that honda has built this machine to dominate the racing scene for the next ten years.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

I am not lying dude it's in the new dirtwheels page 72 on the top right hand side. no bs. If honda is making an aluminum frame with the crf450r motor and has race intentions it will be a great bike.. I am very interested in the motor b/c 1) it's new and high tech 2)it's a honda

 

honda has something up their sleeve, because they released all the 2003 models and info...to the dealers...except... a model and info for the 400Ex...just left the spot blank???

 

If it is on its way why isnt it all over their website? I think that would be big news! Im not saying your lying but i cant find that info anywhere else. Could you scan the page and post it so we all could see it? Or does someone else have the new dirtwheels and could scan the article? Thanks

 

COOL! I might have to sell my quad and get one! HEE HEE HEE!! maybe I'll get a dale too! Then again, maybe I'll just get the 450.

Just wishfull thinking on the magazine crews part. Has 400ex sales dropped yet? Did'nt think so.

 

Actually from what I hear the 400EX sales have dropped, around hear they Z400's are sold before the get to the dealer, and there are about 5 400EX's still on the floor unsold, and I hear in other area's the 400EX's are not selling well since the Z400 came out, I mean the Z400 has liquid-cooling, reverse, handles just as well, and is faster, all for the same price. Why would anyone want the 400EX now? Unless it was a used one with mods on it.
