I am trying to figure out more ways to get power out of my recon. So i have a couple of questions. Will the 250EX piston give it any more power? I think its a higher compression but im not sure, could someone clarify this? I was also thinking of putting a UNI filter, Supertraap IDS2 pipe, and of course rejet the carb. Does anyone have any idea of the power this would make over stock? Im not trying to win any drag races i just want a little more power on the trails and in the mud. Thanks in advance for the replys!

Definatley the pipe, jet and air filter combination will show you some power increse. I am not sure about the pistons but i think they could work since they do that the same engine now, but i do not know about the 01 model. If you mud alot maybe a better type of tire would work. Someone here should know about the piston though.

I have a new in box FMF Megamax II pipe and a jet kit for a honda recon for sale. I paid $238.69(180.99 for pipe and 57.70 for jet kit) + 14.32 in sales tax. I will sell them for $200 even.

Buying a 250EX piston would be a big time waste of money, just buy that 11:1 from Four stroke tech....more comp and probably less money too.

If you cut a bigger opening in the end of your air snorkel then rejet that will provide much better flow without sacraficing any water crossign ability. If you don't use the racks take them off, that will shed alot of weight, and them big black plastic things infront of the motor...make it alot easier to clean too. Hook yourself up with better front tires like holeshots or razrs for muc beter steering and control..depending on your type of riding a set of 20's out back would realy wake that recon up.

Check out POWROLLtoo, the 250EX motor stuff will fit.
