i can't wait for those pictures!! the 589's will really set it off.
bbertram-thos osn't the post where you said this, but you said the rincon won't be a mudder. Do you have any idea as to how many 450 honda's are done up for mud ridding?? they are the most popular mud machine over at highlifter, ask anyone. i will try to find a picture i saw, it of a 300 honda and a sp700, they have the same GC at the rear (the sp700 has 589's on it) the 300 honda has high GC all the way across, unlike the sp700

I wouldn't trust that jacked up to the heavens 300, its going to break eventually. Not because its Honda but because the componenets are not meant to be lifted that high and will have extreme angles. I have seen alot of Hondas on hilifter and I have seen how high they can get, but on average they are not the best bike for mud. The only reason there are lots of Hondas is because they sell tons of them, just because you see alot of one brand doesn't make it the best.
Anyways lets put this to rest. Honda makes a good bike, so does every other quad manufacturer out there. Its all based on what you live and what fits your needs. There is bound to be lemons out there from every manufacturer. I just enjoy quading.

yes, i know. i was just trying to get across the fact that hondas are very capable mudders. anyways i would never lift my quad as high as they do, but they mainly play in the swamps, not mucgh trail ridding!http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/outlawed3...c=ph%26.view=t here's a comparison of a 300 and a sp700 (i found it) the sp isn't on flat ground on the right side, so it looks like it has a little more GC.

i don't know about 3 inches. the sp700 was on a lip, like i said, so the tires were up higher, and the ground therefor was lower......but whatever the 300 still has a lot for a straight axel (he must have a 355 kit) i know dads 300 won't turn the 12.5" bearclaws on the rear in 2nd in thick mud (and he has a cam, filter, jet kit)
it's amazing his 300 will stay right with my Kodiak all the way up till 85km/h

<< Cool, I measure the ground clearance at the bottom of the rear brake rotor, the lowest point on the quad. >>
do you know the guy who owns this quad, sounds like you do.
what i ment is that the sp700's right tire was on higher ground. (not this extreme but if you dug a trench below my kodiak it would have all kinds of GC)
