Stressed out 400EX frame
#21
I just installed a complete set of PRM armor on my EX. I could only weigh it with a bathroom scale, I figure it adds about 20 pounds. It went on smoothly, with the Baja front bumper only taking a slight bit of twisting to make the last bolt go in. The only thing I don't like about the skids is they collect a lot of gravel and crap, it is hard to get it out of there when I clean it.
I checked my A-arms and the paint is flaking around the welds there too. I think Gabe is right about the powder coating, it is far superior to paint. Not sure why Honda went with paint instead. Everybody wants something for nothing I suppose.
I reccomend the PRM units. I can't imagine what the DG has over them for nearly twice the price.
