I live dead center of a 1200acre cattle ranch and I can't ride here for all of the cow crap.thats why I want something I can make legal.so I can ride some of our back roads and not have to worry about the spray of a nice fresh pile.YUCK

we ride down the pavement, whenever we feel like it. a guy we ride with had a sp500 (going down the highway) and the cops didn't like the idea, so he would switch sides of the highway (twin highway) and the cops got lost. it's soo funny to hear of some of the cop runnin stories, me personally haven't been chased, but i ride a lot on the back roads, meet cars quite ofter, they just wave to me and go about there business.

it's a law where i live that if you have your license you can cross a road at a 90 degree angle (straight across) legally.

we used to be able to ride anywhere we wanted but some people abused it. now if they see you on any rode you get a ticket.(this happend before I moved here). in the next county over(where I moved from)I have rode down town and the cops just wave like it's no big deal.

Baja Designs sells kits for conversions, but they are pricey. They are in the White Bros catalog. Here the XR400 is one of the easier ones to convert because it is CARB legal (meets emisions standards).

just stick a plate on the back of your XR and street tire, the police won't know the difference, unless they pull you over if you're doing something stupid.
