I do alot of climbing and want to know if a rev kit would help? I always find myself having to shift down because i'm rapped out. I have a wb pipe and have removed discs(4). It helped along with jetting. WHAT ARE REV KITS EXACTLY?

I installed one on mine, it has made a big difference. I think it advances the timing also, mine seems to rev alittle quicker. It definatly helps on those long steep 1st-2nd gear hills. Its a must have, easy install, performance part.

Hey Fasttrax....
The White Bros CDI box does have an advanced ignition curve thats how they get the extra 1100 rpm. By the way, they don't manufacture the box, they distribute the XR250 box!! It makes a big difference in the throttle response.

Good Luck....Dave

The exact part number for the xr250 box is

30410-KCE-671

I bought mine for $79.51 and it works great!

Dave, how do you know White Bros. sells the XR250 rev box? If they really do, they have a good scam going. Sell an $80 for $120.

FYI, I'm pretty sure a new rev box would void your warranty, if you have one left.

Fasttrax...

I've compared the two, there the same. The new box is about 1/2 inch shorter.

The warranty question, they don't require your old CDI box, so if for some unforeseen reason you quad craps out, just swap the boxes back(it takes 15 seconds).Honda will be fat, dumb, happy and won't know a thing.

Rock on and ride strong!! ....Dave

If someone has bought an aftermarket CDI box for the 400ex, would you mind to check your numbers with the one's that LOCOS stated? That would end the controversy around the CDI box! Thanks!

Hey Garyc400ex

You can't compare the part #'s, Because there are'nt any,ZERO, ZILCH,NODA,NOTHING!!!!! The White Bros box has a hand eched "WB" on the side.Looks pretty tacky to me. But the box does work as advertised!!
