Looks to be the real deal...
ATV Newsfront, September 2002 reports:
Honda has introduced their new addition to the sport-quad line-up, the 2003 TRZ400R, which is yet another ATV derived from the existing Z400 offered by Suzuki. The new Honda implements the same motor found in the Suzuki Z400 and the Kawasaki KXF400 along with most other parts, but also contains many conveniences Honda is known for. "We are certain the TRZ400R will be a welcome replacement for the TRX400EX. If you liked the 400EX, you'll love this!" says Kenneth Gerbler, a spokesman for Honda Motor Corp.

the crf450 motor will blow anything (stock) away out there. but i think are chances are better of getting the 650. ( i just hope it's the liquid cooled version) i know the air cooled 650 put out better torque (i've been told) but liquid cooling is needed on a hot running, high reving thunper.
