Hey everyone, I own a 2000 Yamaha Big Bear 400 4X4 and I love my machine, but a lot of my friends have 400EX's and Banshee's and I have decided to trade my quad in for a sport type. I've narrowed my options to a 400EX or Banshee and I wanted to get your opinions on the two quads. I've ridden both and I like them both, but I just can't decide. I don't care about the no reverse deal, I mostly trail ride and I enjoy jumping and climbing hills. I was leaning towards the Banshee, but I don't know if I want a 2-stroke. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,

Kyle

go for the Banshee. The honda 400 is a good atv but does not have the speed or power (not even close) to a Banshee. I ride a 400ex my next machine will be a Banshee. One bad thing about Banshee's is the cost of after market "goodies"

Depends on what you want to do,

Go fast in a straight line, shoot dunes: go with the Banshee

Go fast everywhere else: go with the 400EX.

banshee goes only about 5-10 mph faster then a 400ex and you can easily make your 400ex faster

i have a honda 300 4x4 and my friend has a 400EX. i rode it and i love it. i haven't ridden a banshee yet but i would take the 400 over the banshee because i love the dependability of a four-stroke honda. two-strokes have to be rebuilt more often.

I have a 400ex, Two of my riding buddies have Banshees, This weekend I rode in a new spot with some other tiding buddies. These guys all had 4x4's, The trails were tight, second gear trails, I don't know to many 2-strokes that could stand crawling around for that long a period of time. I wouldn't trade my 400 for a two-stroke any day.
I blistered the other guys through the woods, because mine handles better.
