Here's what I am thinking:

Sport-Utility/Utility

Honda Recon 4x4 and 2wd ES or non ES with Traxloc

Rancher needs Traxloc and an auto version.

Forman 400 needs new suspension, just a little longer travel with Traxloc, maybe automatic version

Foreman 450 is fine

Rubicon with Traxloc, a manual shift version and 2wd version

Rincon with a manual shift version, maybe lower the price so its more competitive.

Sport 4x4

A 4x4 version of the 400EX with liquid-cooling and reverse

Sport

250EX with softer suspension, the suspension travel itself is fine, just a little to hard and bouncy, better seat, again just a little to hard, a little wider, new tires

300EX with better reverse system, oil cooler, redesigned plastic, kinda like 250EX, new tires, little longer suspension travel, put choke on top, plastic gas tank (is it the only one still made?)

400EX with liquid cooling and reverse for trail use, a little more power, newly designed plastic

450EX with CRF450 engine, long travel suspension (aftermarket shocks), holeshots or razr's all around, long and wide, cut plastic, electric start, come in a MX and GNCC edition.

650EX (dune or desert edition) long travel suspension, long and wide, paddle tires for dunes or a 6 ply tire for desert, full coverage fenders and hand guards for flying debris.

Mini

50EX- 4" of travel, wider and longer than todays mini's, electric start with kick start back up. Resembelance to bigger sport quads.

90EX- 5" travel, actually bigger than 50EX, not the same thing with bigger tires, longer wider, electric start with backup kick start.

85R- MX version, for the kids who like to race, comes stock with aftermarket stuff, engine from CR85, kick start only, double a-arms, 7" of travel.

Rincon 90- Utility version, 4" of travel,IRS, large racks, with a sporty side to it. Resembles larger Rincon.

I know basically none of this will happen, but I think that would be the ultimate line up. Sorry for the long post.

the rubi has manual shift.
traxlock is on the '03's isn't it??

<< A 4x4 version of the 400EX with liquid-cooling and reverse >>

i'd buy that in a heart beat, so would some scrambler owners!

To make the foremans auto or the rubi or rincon manual would require a whole noew motor basically.....totaly not woth it at all.

Doesn't Honda make an XR250 dirtbike that is a real 250cc's and more powerful than the 229 in the recon and 250ex? If it is they should use that motor along with the shocks from the 300ex and ditch the 300ex.

What would be the point of that ? Then you would have a 300ex all over again without reverse in a junk chassis...

The Rubicon has both an automatic AND manual transmission in the same engine.

Didn't think about the reverse thing but I would imagine they could put it in there. It would be a better beginer bike with a little more juice. It would be lighter than a 300ex have almost the same power, have no manual clutch and if you implemented the 250ex's reverse it would be an easier engagment of reverse.

Carl, you dont have a manual tranny and auto, you have presets not actual gears...

Dirt, you would still have a manual clutch, you would need to go chain drive cause that motor is not setup for a shaft. And you cant just put in a reverse from another quad...

ha ha good point killer I didn't think of all the differences: chain, manual clutch, etc. I just saw they had a real 250cc 4 stroke and thought reverse wouldn't be a big deal. I also heard the 300ex was nose diving big time in sales and figured why have 2 bikes so close together and thought if you made the 250 more powerful you could get rid of the 300 and use the same engin in 3 machines but I guess I got a little nuts.
