How long can i run my air-cooled atc250R (83-84) During normal day light hours in moderate temperatures without over-heating it? Is there a limit for how long you can run these 2 stroke air cooled machines? or can you run them all day long and not bother to let them rest too much? how many hours of straight hard riding and long distance riding can they hold up to in one day without turning the engine off?

thank,you

p.s. I smoked the raptor off the line by a quad legnth or two. It got about neck to neck with me mid way through (about 35-40 mph) then took me by barely a quad legnth.. It was a explosive race! very fun..i attribute the fact that i put up a good fight to it because the rider on the raptor was a 17 year old and probally un-experienced. However, I definently now believe more than ever that a raptor is not woth 5-6 grand.

You can ride your bike pretty much all day as long gas is mixed with oil at the right amount.

So you think the Raptor not worth 5-6 grand, well you are in the wrong league. Look all the new bikes, most of them cost over 5 grand. Go find another Raptor rider that got belt time and will whoop you big time on the drag race.

Also just how old are you 800? Kid wet behind the ear?

desracers, I am not trying to talk trash about raptors, for I think they are awesome machines to say the least! I am jelious of anyone who has one lol. I do think they are a bit on the pricey side for the performance. However, the refinement and design is second to none. I am sure that there are plenty of raptors that can wooop me but the point is that I only paid 800 dollars compared to a 6000 dollar raptor..(before modifications). I'm sure i will have a 4 stroke sport quad eventually but for now I am looking at bang for my buck and my next bike that I am getting within the next month or so will be a used piped, jetted, banshee!

p.s. what does "wet behind the ear supposed to mean"

talk to ya later!
