I have a FCR 39 and i run a 165. At sea lvl it runs a little lean but nothing to bad. Unless glowing head pipes is an extremely bad thing. nothing melts so its all good. Try a 160 maybe a 158.
With a stock carb and cam, a 170 should be real close. I'd take a selection of mains with you and rejet as needed. Since it's a 5 minute job. A selection between 185-170 would be my advise.
