Little tube on a 300EX
#1
I have a little tube on my 2000 300ex. I comes from the Airboot (between the airbox and the carb) it connects to a little white box-like thing. Then I think that it goes down toward the motor. I was wondering what this is so I could figure-out if I could take it off and use a 350x air boot for more air flow. Thankx in advance.

If you look closer there's a tube from the crankcase and one at the top of the head from your valve area. I believe they're there to vent oil into the intake system to get burned off. If you keep your oil level in check there shouldn't be any problem. It's one of those emission control things. With the 350X air boot you could probably put some kind of filter on the tube to vent it to atmosphere. Hope this helps.

Im prety sure that what your talking about is a DRAIN TUBE it probly is at the bottom of your Air cleaner case. Some times there might be something in it like dust, grass, or a small twig and if there is you take it off and get all the crap out also make sure you clean your air filter.
