Anybody know what their 300EX weighs in at with a full tank, oil, battery, etc?

All wet it has to be right at or just a little bit below 400 pounds.

I went and got some old brochures to see what Honda and Kawasaki say there own machines weigh dry.

300ex=377

Mojave=379

Yep, exactly. That is what they list the machines as on their websites as well. Actually that is the same weight they have listed both machines at for years. ATV Action screwed up and won't admit it. I think they need to get a new scale, or check to see that someone isn't resting his foot on it when they do the machine weigh in.

 

I'd say the 300 weighs about 400 give or take a few. The battery prob weighs about 3 pounds, gas is prob around 16(since it has about a 2 gallon gas tank and fuel weighs almost 8 pounds per gallon if im correct) and i really dont have a clue how much the oil weighs prob 2-3.

 

what does dry weight exclude beside gas and oil?

 

I've had dealers tell me that dry weight doesn't include any grease in any of the parts, brake fluid or electrolite in the battery. Don't know if that is true or not but dry weight commonly assumes that the machine does not have any gas, oil, or antifreeze.

 

ATV Action has it as 374 lbs w/ a gallon of feul in the tank.

 

That is what doesn't make any sense.
