thinking of getting a 87 250R it looks and runs almost new my friend offerd it to me for 1,200 but I can probaly get it for 1,000 is this a good price?

 

Yeah thats a damn good deal. 86-89 R around here go for at the least 3000 for a pile of crap. I would buy that R if you didn't. Remeber to look for craks in the frame and swingarm and other stuff that would cost you alot of money. But if i you you i would buy it.

 

For $1,000-1,200 I'd buy it with a cracked frame and a blown engine!!!

 

At that price you could buy it and part it out on EBAY and about triple your money.

 

From reading the original post I assumed that he was talking about a quad rather than a 3-wheel. I assumed that most everyone knows that 86 was the last year of the 3-wheels for Honda (I had an 85 350X and my brother had an 86 yet that wasn't mentioned in the original post).
Anyway, if the original post was for a quad, buy it for the money asked, if possible. You can't lose on a 250R quad for that price.
Now, if it's a 250X, different story. . . . .

 

Tommyboy84 , if that is infact a 250R quad that you are talking about which I also assumed that it was ..... Scoop it up buddy , don't even think twice for that price ... or actually what I meant was give me the guys phone # and just forget the whole thing.... yeah that's right he sounds like he is trying to rip you off so let me phone him and ..........

That's a grand deal. I'd pay a lot more for one in that good of shape.
