best 500 class quad

The new Vinson with the 5 speed and the hotter engine. I would like to see a shootout between it and the Scrambler 4x4 but I still prefer the Vinson over the Scrambler. The auto just doesn't work as well for agressive trailriding. I like the ability to shift into 1st and loft the frontend over stuff and the responsiveness just isn't there with the full auto's.

)Sportsmen 500 HO
2)Vinson
3)Rubicon
4)Actic Cat
The Sp500 offers the most for the money, you get great power, true 4x4, irs, great tires stock and a list price of $6599. It's a toss-up between the Vinson and Rubicon, but I would give it to the Vinson due to a sportier ride because you can ride in 2x4, the Rubicon is full time 4x4, also the Vinson is about $400 less. Artic cat is a solid atv, just slow and under powered compared to the rest.

The IRS is one of the things that I don't like for sport riding. The solid axle will handle sliding around a lot better but I do like the 4x4 system on the Polaris. Powerwise I would have to give it to the new Vinson. With the 5 speed and the redesigned engine it really smokes. I really don't think you could call a Sportsman a sport/Utility. I think it falls more into the Utility/SUV class.
1. Vinson
2. Scrambler 500
3. Prairie 650 Try one they are very sporty and with a pipe will smoke 400EX's in the drags all day.
4. Wolverine even though it's an old design.

The question was, what is the best all-around 500(sport/utility)?
For one the Scram is a sport, the Wolverine is a 350 and the 650 is to big. And trust me, the sp500 is a sport utility. I've had 2 of them and I would be right behind you on your Vinson. I'm not saying the Vinson is bad, but for the best all-around 500 I would take the sp500.

I think if you want the most sporty bike it would definately be the Vinson manual shift, and if you want an atv that goes places that people on other stock quads dream about get the Cat 500i. If you want a rugged and dependable atv that can do a bit of everthing get the Rubicon. I like an atv that you can abuse and it fires up anytime you push the start button,so I chose the Rubi. Also when I baught a new bike the Vinson and 500i were not even being talked about yet. I believe that the others are dependable because I know people with Cats. All of the 500 class atvs are good but it is the riders that separate the good from the great.
