i would like to know which year motor would be the best to get,85,86 atc motor 86,87,88,89 trx motor what or the differeces in them

 

The 89 motor is the best. The 87-89 had the long rod while the 85-86 motors had the shirt rod but same stroke. The 85-86 did not have a intake bridge and the 87-89 did. The 89 has the best clutch in it. The 88-89 have better gears in there trannies. But i would get the 89 if i wear you. Or if not a 89 a 88 with a clutch up-date kit in it.
