Default making a arms

hey I was wondering if anyone had any tips for making a arms for a 400 ex. I want to make them +2. I am going to have my uncle make them who is a welding instructor at the local community college. I was wanting to hopefully jsut add onto the orgi a arm Do u have to move the shock mounts or anything?? Will stock brake lines be long enough?? Dose anyone know a good place to get longer tie rods for a good price?? Well any info would help thanks.

good luck...you will need longer brake lines. i would also move the shock mounts. you will loose handling, but not too much.
again...good luck...

I have herd some guys say that they have been able to get away with the stock brake lines. That there is enough play in them that they are ok.

The stock brake lines will reach but there is so much tension on them that in time they will probably start to fail. I suggest getting the new braided lines and after you have them on you will see the improved feel of brake lines that don't expand when you apply pressure to the brakes. I can't believe the difference when I ride my friends 400ex that is still stock.
