Is there an advantage to installing the Detroit Locker on the Rancher? I have the Warn 424 select and can you have both? Also, are there any simple mods that can be done to get rid of the CA. smog restrictions and increase power? Thanks for any help.

Yes you can use both products, and the locker will make a world of difference in Mud or other Off Road Situations. With the Warn 424 you will have the ultimate bullet proof set up compared to those new fangled electric operated gizmos on the competitors machines!!

Your advantage would be true 4wd when not in 2wd mode from the 424.

Would locking up all four wheels make it pull straight up a soft hill rather than have a tendenacy to pull either to the left or right or is that more because of the angle of the hill. I like the Warn 424 as it makes the Rancher a little more sporty feeling and the steering lighter.
