250r frames
#6
I think it's pretty safe to say that Walsh Racecraft make one of the very best aftermarket chassy's available, but they come with a price. Lonestar has fallen out of the shooting. Arens is a very good frame builder, as well as Laeger. Hermann Racing is beginning to make frame's, and I've heard nothing but excellent review's from their other products.
I would shy away from the LRD for right now. It is a 1st year production peice, and I think it needs time to develop fully. Just like a car. Give it some time to prove itself before you spend the extra cash.

while all of the companies everyone has listed here are great......what about Roll Design....they make one of the best.....if i had to list the best to worst frames builders here is how i would list it..........Walsh Racecraft, Roll Design, LRD, I would have put LRD first but noone else makes an aluminum frame yet.........good luck.....I know Mike Walsh and he has a large lead time on frames....Roll Design has 250r frames in stock...and LRD aluminum frames are expensive.........pick one the the three i listed above and you will not be disappointed........

I have the lrd aluminium sand frame the quality of the welds are great it really is a nice piece. I haven't had much riding time on it yet though so I don't know about long term durability. When I bought mine they were offering some deals on 1/2 a dozen or so display frames they had left over and my local shop wanted to become an lrd dealer so we worked out a deal. I don't know if they had any mx frames left or not but you could try them.
