Default big bore kit for 250r

I was just wondering what the best kit is out there, I was thinking of a 425 or 330 psi. Any suggestions?

im not too familiar with PSI products, most people use a PRO-X cylinder when choosing a big bore.

In my opinion I would go with ESR. There big bore kits are less expensive than any other company out there, and work just as good if not better. products, they use a PRO-X cylinder for all there big bore kits. For $999.00 you get a 330 or 350 pro-X cylinder ported and polished your choice, plus a power head with 2 dome's for race or pump gas. I have had mine for 2 years now and it works great!

I had a '93 Leagers Pro-Trax with a Pro-X 330 kit from CT. It had gobs of power, the only downfall I seen was the piston didnt last long at all before developing fractures in the skirt. I sold the quad before figuring out the problem.

What type of riding if all out power is what you are looking for look at MP racings Polonda (Polaris 400 topend on 250r bottom end) and Mac Racing 500R (CR500 cylinder on 250r bottom end.)

I have a 425...i pull wrist pins in half and stretch rods. Everytime it does down it costs me 500 bucks to rebuild it...plus it goes through a clutch ritually. i have a gas 370 (pro-x) that hauls some azz and was a lot cheaper to build and seems to be more reliable (except it eats reeds). Id stick with a pro-x unless going to methanol. If your going to methanol stick to a unstroked crank. FYI, PSI is rumored to be going out of business. If this is the case forget about getting cylinders/heads/ect.

Are you sure about the going out of business, because they are pretty heavy in the sledding scene

Very positive! Bruce wont admit it, but everybody knows. They got screwed on a deal with another company and lost a HUGE amount of money
