A friend of mine has an '88 Honda 250X and third gear has gone out of it. I heard that this is a huge problem with the 250X and that Honda will repair it for free. I cant see a company warranting a 10 year old bike, but if any would it would be Honda. So I thought I would see if anyone knew about this, or knew how I could find out. Thanks.

 

the 87 year is the only one mentioned in the article in Dirt Wheels for buying a Used 250x.

I'm not sure if honda is repairing these or not. If honda issued a recall, I believe by law they have to fix any 250x that has not been updated. I know that is how it is with a car.

I had a 87 jeep with a recall on it. 13 years later i took it to a jeep dealer and they fixed it!
