Best Sport Quad Ever, POLL?

This is my opinion for STOCK quads. Once you start modifying, it becomes YOUR quad, not the quad that was manufactured.
Wow, you took the words right out of my mouth! No truer words were ever spoken.

My top 15 is gonna have to stavk up like this
1. Gas Gas Wild Hp 300 ( havent rode the 450 yet but sure its just as good)
2. Cannondale moto 440
3. Ltz of Kfx 400 ( after a ton of mods Will be better than the 250R's
4. Trx 250R (after a bunch of mods, but still kickin 15 years later)
5. Polaris Predator ( havent rode yet but saw one and heard from people who have them)
6. Banshee ( very high capabilities)
7. Quadzilla ( Let's just say a 500 CC 2 stroke)
8. DS 650 ( Very nice outfit a little nig and heavy)
9. Yamaha Raptor
10. Honda 400 EX
after 10 there really isn't much for performance quads its a toss up between Blaster, 300 EX, warrior, Tecate, and mohaves or even the lt 250R

You all keep listing all the new stuff. Need to give credit to where credit is due. The quadracers 250 and 500, honda 250r, banshee all started the sport quad excitement. Then you got to give credit to the 400ex for keeping sport quads still alive. Now the new raptor deserves alot of credit for getting sport quads really going again.

I agree with honoring the "initial" sport machines, but as U2 once stated "We glorify the past as the future cries out"......the advancement of technology is a beautiful thing.

I think one thing these lists demonstrate is that, despite the bickering, flaming, etc. no one can go it alone. "It takes a village", of sport quads, to make a sport quad scene. The 250r and LT got things started, The Banshee kept things going in the 90's, the 400EX brought us out of the dark ages, then BAM! the Raptor and Cannondale and DS really got it going, and now the latest the Z and the Predator are really firing things up. No one quad, or one manufacturer could do it alone. Now we really got something, and everyone is to thank for it! (Wouldn't Hillary just love knowing she had been quoted by someone in the ATV-off-road community!)

I am curious about how riding style affected everyone's choices here. How about it, wanna let us in on your riding style?
Mine (while on a sport quad anyway) is more a 'fun sport' type of riding. I am not a moto-x rider (too old, too fat, probably would have been a 'b' or 'c' class at best, even in my prime) so my priorities are:
SMOOOOOOOTH, I DID ride bikes quite a bit in the past, and I proved to myself that smooooooth, along with a wide, even powerband & predictable handling usually beats the 'motor is everything' machine, for the riding I do. A Banshee may be a great dragger or dune machine, but the off-on powerband makes it hard to handle in general trail riding. I guess that is why I put the Predator up high. Maybe not the ultimate fastest, but smooth, with an even flow of power, and good handling. Also, it is almost as much fun just hopping logs on a trail as it is running around fast. If I spent much time on an ultimate speed machine, my wife would likely become my widow LOL.
