I think you'll really like the ES once you ride one. I don't think I would go back to a "S" model.

The 450es is a great machine and you'll really enjoy the electric shifting. Your dealer's price of $5,600 sounds a little steep if the quad is used. I bought a new 2000 450es last September for $5,650 which included OxLite stick stoppers. Get the new one if you can afford to spend $100-$200 more.

I also just purchased a new 450es,but haven't had a chance to take it out yet. However I have run it quite a bit around the house and am disapointed with the top end speed 47mph.Ido mostly trail and ridge road type running in very rocky and steep terain were some will argue speed isn't a factor and this is true, but when we hit the bottom land there nothing like a good race to the next creek crossing.Good luck with yours and mabe all these 450 honda pro's on the web will give us both a lot of good info.especially tire size, performance kit's.

i would go ahead save some money a couple more weeks and go ahead and get the new 450es or s
because them people dont really care about u all they care about is money and they will say anything to get u to buy it trust me from experience?
just because the used one might look new dont mean anything that thing could have been sunk in a creek or anything so dont let the looks fool you like they did me
and who would want to bring back a 450es they are the best qaud their is

Price sounds a little high. Ilove my es. The only problem I`ve had is my shifter buttons sticking when I`m in extreme muddy conditions. Other than that I love it

I bought a 99 ES new..I have 1400 miles, no problems. The shifting does require warm up in below zero operation. My wife didn"T want to shift and I didnt want an auto.. she pushes the buttons!

I just bought my 450ES last month. I paid $5800 on paper, but I bought two quads at the time. Probably buy a new one for closer to $5900. I love mine even though I only have 40 miles on it. ES is the way to go.
