I have a 1997 300ex with a fmf pipe and a k&n
air filter system on it. And the kawasaki fans over there think that a mojave can beat a 300ex.
I,ve raced two or three and beat them. So im confident I can beat them. Just wondering what you guys think.

 

i have ridden a mojave a few times and the last time i was racing a guy who ownes one and i was on a honda trx 90 and i almost beat him in a race through a track at some sand pits and it was a close race off the start but he quikly pulled away, when we got into the whoops, he messed up and lost his speed so i was able to catch up, when we got into the third turn i caught up and came out of of the turn ahead of him, the guy would always catch me on the long straights but i have fatser acceleration so i get the jump on him. when we came to the last set of whoops before a long straight away and the finish line we were head to head in the whoops i got out with maybe half a bike length lead and i just gunned the throttle and he did to, i must of been going around 50 and him not to much faster because i crossed the finish line 1 bike length behind.
i have a slightly modified 1999 honda trx 90 with fmf powercore muffler
works shocks and a little boreing

i plan to race this summer, i also have a track right down the street from me where alot of people race and i usually place top 5.
i have been riding since i was 5 i stated on dirtbikes and am now 13, i just got my quad modified 2 weeks ago and rode it ever day
i think one of the reasons i did so good against the mojave was because the rider was kinda sucky
well i just wanted to share this with u all

 

wow your trx 90 sounds rad! I should race you on my 300ex. Well you would probably win since yours is pretty modded. later :P

 

I have both a mojave and now have a 300 the mojave is strong and fast but the 300 is faster and is a all around better bike. both are good with modifications but im honda loyal now cause i had jet problems with the mojave.

What is your fixation with whether or not the 300ex is faster than the Mojave? For god sakes guy, give it a rest already. Who besides you really cares anyway? Altitude, rider weight, modifications and most importantly the person riding the machine are what will determine which is faster. The fact that your machine is 33cc larger than the 249cc Mojave should be reason enough to determine that your Honda is faster but your beloved 300ex was beaten in the drag race test by 4-wheel and ATV actions Sport shootout! Since you obviously didn't take the nickels' worth of free advice that I gave you, I will post this information as it read in the magazine article. As I told you once before the 300ex won the overall shootout but it is not the fastest! By the way, you should be ashamed of yourself for leaving such a nasty reply on the Kawasaki page. Maybe you could use a little tact next time, don't you think?
