The Rancher is a sweet bike! Not to big, and not to small. I did a ride in the mountains today on the 2X4. There was a fair amount of snow (yes, we get snow in our mountains here in So. Calif.) and mud. There was only one hill I couldn't make, and that was because I deliberately picked a bad line to see what would happen. The 4X4 would have made it easily.

i've got a rancher ES 4x4. best bike around in its price range. nothing else even compares to it. i climbed a hill full of 8 inches of snow with my tires barley slipping. you can guess my friend with a 2x4 slipped all the way down and yes he was trying to go up. also we were climbing a hill full of 3 foot tall weeds (very slippery). he couldnt make it up so i had to pull him, and i was still on the hiil while i did this and still made it up. ranchers the best, it beats all the rest.

from what i hear the rancher is better. but i cant say for sure, being that i never rode a eiger. i'll check the specs for each one, and fill you in on that.

sorry, i cant find the specs. but from what i know from riding the rancher its all you need the whole package and much more for a good price. also you can get a used one like 2 months old and it will cost you $1000 less, american that is. the rancher is everything you need. unless you plan to go threw 5 foot deep mud or tow 2000 lbs of god knows what. it can do everything else.

I FEEL THAT IF YOU NEED A BIGGER WHEELER THAN THE RANCHER I SURE DON'T KNOW WHY. HONDA FINALLY MADE ANOTHER GOOD MACHINE ,THE RINCON. BUT FOR NOW MY LOYALTY STAYS WITH MY RANCHER
