Well, Jeremy and his dad had got some of the fastest R's I have seen, But DSmike(steve) will give Jeremy Everything he wants(it aint no roostin), the are very close with jeremy winning most of the battles. Jeremy and his dad will be the first to give it up to Steve and Mike's DS(650cc).


That being said, It would take a HORRIBLEY running 330r(which I have seen BTW) to let ANY stock quad win in a drag race.

LOL thats no joke, i heard about the wild ride! And yes, jeremy does have some really fast bikes from what i hear.

 

All these 100 plus hp quads?? Hell i am out running everywhere and do not see them. I know that some exist but not masses of them. I have only seeen a handful of 2 strokes that are faster than i. I see some fast ones at atoka andd other 300 foot strips that can not hit the trails. Vlnrk has a fast 250r. For every fast 250r there are 10 regulars. Most people do not drop $$ into a quad that can only run 300 feet. Most of the fast quads that i see running in the 4's or better are all banshees on tricked out frames. I have a mostly stock piped/vforce reeded tecate 4 that runs with piped banshees and most 250r's are way behind it. My rappy walks off and leaves it. i was led to believe that the tecated smoked all the 250cc quads back in the late 80's. Hard to believe that the 250r was within 2 hp stock. All the magazines said it killed the honda on the drag strip.

I chat with Jeremy alot on AIM. To say that his bikes are fast is an understatment. It says alot that DsMike can make a 4 stroke hang with his. Jeremy has said on many occasions that Steve's DS is the fastest 4 stroke he's seen yet. That 416EX he has isn't a slouch either.

For all of you that think a "big bore" 250R is a whole new beast, you're partially right, but mostly wrong. Yes, boring does help, but good porting is the key to 2 stroke HP.

Please don't get me wrong! Jeremy and his dad are great guys, and YES thier R's are "Stupid Fast!!" My point was simply that DSmike has been able to do stuff with his 650cc 4-stroke that NO other has been able to do. And the same goes for Jeremy and his dad, They have only been biulding thier own motors(serously) for a couple years. Kudo's for both these guys!


And your right, the power is in the head!! especailly for 2 strokes.

Bigger, I wasn't saying you're wrong, or wrong for saying that. I'm sorry if we had a misunderstanding. I know DsMike is very fast if he is hanging with Jeremy.

But I'm not so sure if he can stay for long.. Jeremy just bought a 350PV [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Who knows?

I don't think that 2 strokes rely on it as much as 4 strokes, but a bore job does bring out more power, but just because someone has a "330R" doesn't mean it's that fast. I have personally seen a Sparks 265 spank a local built 330 all over the strip and MX track. The first three letters that go in front of the "R" don't make it go faster.

 

Well, your right, I shouldn't have said "especially 2 strokes" I was refering to the Port work for both machines, and yeah the 2 strokes use the hole jug. But you get what I was trying to say[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img].
