DIRT BIKE BEND BARS?
#1
I have seen and read about guys using motorcycle bend bars on their atv's, it looks like on some though that their clamps are higher than stock like a triple that is higher. Let me know if anyone has used some of these bars on their atv.
One main reason is I can't find alum. barkbusters to fit my 400ex handlebars. I needed one this weekend. Planted pines real tight you know the drill. Left thumb, ouch, not broke I don't think, but it sure is big, black, and blue.

Most of my friends prefer CR bend bars to fourtrax bend ones. They think that they are much more comfortable. I however like my quad bends much better. I am pretty sure that you can use the bike bend bars with stock clamps.

I recently added Renthal CR bend to my Warrior. I've only ridden with them a short while so I haven't fully made up my mind, but I think I will like the bend. If you ride hard and stand a lot& ride up forward on the seat when sitting, you may like this bend also. They have about a 3" rise and the pull back is less than stock, making them comfortable when standing. Standard clamps work fine, but you need to radius the edges of the clamps to prevent cutting into the bars. The torque should be only 17 ft lbs. Set your wrench ar 1/2 that & then tighten to 17 after

I like the stock TRX250R bend best. probably is close or same as 400ex. Dirt bike handle bars set to low and to far foward. At least thats my opion.
