I have a 99' Recon. I have a SuperTrapp IDS2,K&N air filter,Jet Kit,22in. Super Swampers on the back,and 23in. Titan 489's on the front. It is almost fast enough to keep up with my friends STOCK 300EX. I was thinking that if I put a 2 to 4mm bigger carb it would make it go faster...what do ya'll think and reconmend...any other reconmendations would be appreciated. P.S. the stock carb on a Recon is 22mm Minuki.

 

Does that IDS, K&N , Dynojet giveyou any top end gains? I doubt you can catch a 300ex. a 300 goes 55 and a recon goes about 40.

 

your wrong 250thumper i have a completely stock recon that only has 22inch Maxxis Sur Track tires and it does 50-55 i clocked it and a 300ex does like 60

 

The Recon will do more than 40 mph stock. They will do 45-50mph not bad for a little 250cc motor.

 

yea...all of those mod's gave me like a 7 mph gain...i clocked it with my jeep and it use to go 52...now it goes 60 on the dot.

 

So it gave you a 7 mph gain?? Huh seems to me 60-52=8 but whatever. Sniff Sniff, man whats that smell? It smells like a farm with cows. Hehe.
