just want peoples opinion what is a nicer bike i think the 250x are but the new 300 do look preety nice.

 

hey, well i am going to go with the 300EX, even though i own a 250X, i would love to have electric start, it is not that big of deal but i still would like. otherwise they are exactly the same in low-end all the way to top-end, when in stock form. thanks

Ranger is right, I think that they have the same power but I like Electric Start and I like red better than blue. But they are both great bikes.

I have a 00' EX and I put all red OEM plastic on it. It looks very sharpe.
I do believe that the 250X weights a few pounds less, but the 300 makes about 1 1/5 more horsepower.

well i like the way 99 300ex's look but i will take mine any day it has all black maier plastic and flamed seat cover it looks great maybe ill get a pic to put on someday

The X is lighter and the kick start is nice but the 97-up 300EX wins my vote in terms of appearance.

 

Actually kick start sucks *** when you flood the damn thing and have to kick the bitch about 100 times to even get it to sputter!! but kick start is nice compared to pull start, but not as nice as electric start. If you like the 250X better but dont like the blue, just go and get a 87 250X with red and white plastic, or just bye some aftermarket red plastic to stick on there!!! well see you guys, piece out

true but my x starts first kick in cold or hot and i have never flooded it

 

i don't know about you but mine starts first kick try putting your choke on and turning the idle up a little, and if you have to kick it onehundard times you better ckeck the timing.

 

NO it was just because my dad was screwing with the choke and i didnt know it, so i was giving it gas and it got flooded, but otherwise it starts on the fifth kick when it is 0-20degrees, otherwise, it starts on the 2nd or 3rd kick.
