86 250r

Default 86 250r

i have a chance to buy a 86 250r for $2800 totaly stock except full skids not even a pipe ever good condition. is it worth it? can you still get parts from honda?

Get it quick! They don't hang around long for under $3k unless they're totally junk.
Most all parts are still available from Service Honda... however, being a machine that's 18 years old, there will come a day when parts availability will become an issue.

Look the frame over really good for cracks... especially around the rear swingarm pivot.
Honda made a very solid machine there.... Doesn't sound like this one has been tinkered on much.

If you don't buy it, I'm interested... where's it at???

i'm still un decided since i have so many atv's already i have always wanted a 250r i have just been waiting for one to fall in my lap if your interested it is at sea coast cycles in newburyport mass.

I have an 86 and I love it. The price is good, I say go for it.

Well, if nothing else, buy it to preserve it... or turn around and make some $$$ on it.
If the factory paint is pretty well 'in-tact' it really can't be hurt too bad... usually the paint will flake off in areas of stress (Arounds weld's ect.)

How's the plastic? Bent/broken/scratched up really bad? Still have original factory wheels/tires?

That's a heckuva deal for $2,800...

How close is Newburyport to Greenfield? Have in-laws there...
