I own an '87 350 4-Trax and would like to modify the lights. When the front rack is loaded the single bar mounted headlight is useless.

1. Has anyone added lighting to their 4-Trax and how did you do it?

2. The machine has 2 yellow Stanley running lights pointing forward. Has anyone turned these into headlights? Are clear lens' and brighter bulbs available?

Any suggestions or pictures would be appreciated. The wiring issues are not a problem for me. I am just looking for ideas for lights.

Thanks,

DJ

Frankd has a good idea but i think I would go with somthing a little heavier duty but it depends on what you do with the quad. My Dad still has the 85 I grew up riding, they dont makem like that anymore.

You may want to look at the new ATV lights from Warn. They are designed specifically for ATV applications. They are 21 watts and the cases are sealed to keep water out and have some kind of vent system to stop fogging up. If you are interested, let me know and I can scan the brochure and email it to you with the beam spread, etc.

Folks,

Thanks for all of the responses.

Tx2Doc, yes interested in the Warn setup and would appreciate the info. When you say 21 watts is that total or each? My assumption is each.

If you get a chance please send the info to johnson@comgate.com.

Thanks,

DJ

Yes, 21 watts each. I will scan the brochure tomorrow and email it to you. Look at www.Warn.com and select ATV products and select lights. If you want the scanned brochure, send me your email address at TxDoc2@aol.com

justindeters1,

The 350 looks "similar" to the Foreman of today. It is red, has 4 equal sized tires on it (24x9-11), has a solid axle front and rear. Has metal racks front and rear (they were an option that I added), has one handlebar mounted headlight, 2 body mounted yellow running lights in the front, 2 red in the rear, no guages of any sort.
